Exciting news that I just had to share with everyone!
I had my first O.B. appointment today.
The O.B. suggested that I do not attempt to have this baby the "natural" way, because she is afraid of the complications that I would have. She said that the risks are higher to do it that way than to have a c-section, and she had the fear that I my body would not handle it well.
So, a c-section it is.
In TWO WEEKS!!!
Can you believe it. My pregnancy just became more than 3 weeks shorter, and my baby has went from being a 2007 child to a 2006 Irish Twin.
I'm still trying to believe that in 2 weeks, I will have a new baby!
I will find out next Wednesday when the exact date of my c-section will be, I haven't decided if I will tell everyone the exact day. So, I will keep you posted on that one:-)
I do admit that I am a little nervous about the surgery, but also a bit relieved to know that I won't have to deal with the labour:-)
Please keep me, and my baby in your prayers.
The next month will be a busy one:-)

You'll do great! Who do you have for your OB...and why so much earlier? I understand that they don't want you to labour - but weren't you overdue for Ethan?
After the c-section just make sure you get up and about as soon as they allow you too!
More than 3 weeks early makes the baby a "preemie" (Jared was 3 weeks and 2 days and considered a preemie).
Wow, Megan. That's exciting! Hopefully all goes well with the delivery and looking forward to seeing your new daughter and finding out her name. May God grant you strength as well as healing after the baby arrives.

woo hoo! I'm sooooo excited for you Megs! I just can't get over it. Don't worry about the surgery it's a breeze. They give you lots of drugs and you don't even know what is happening. Besides, with what you went through with Ethan, surgery will be a walk in the park :)
Wow! What a relief! I was wondering if they would do that for you. That baby is just too big for little lady like you! Why are they doing it early?...for your health?

wow, that's crazy. that is so soon - that is good news!
I'm so excited for you Megan! (and a little bit jealous!) Not that I would want to have my baby too early, but to shave 3 weeks off your pregnancy just like that is awesome!
Can't wait to meet your new little girl!

congratulations megan!! i'm sure everything will work out fine. i'll remember to keep you in my prayers :)
That's so exciting Megan (and Rick too)! What relief to know that you don't have to go through another horrible labour again.
After your baby is born, and when you're feeling up to it, I can take Ethan for a day so that you can get out and do some shopping for your new baby girl... seriously, it's not a big deal at all - I'm already used to 3 kids, so I'll take him some day when Josh is at school.
