We were forced to say good bye to all the old trees on our street this month, as they are making room to widen the street, and apparently these trees that have been standing here for the past 96 years had to go.
We were very sad to lose them as they added quite a bit of character to our street, which now looks bare and sad. Did you know that if a tree is over 100 years it can't be cut down, but instead gets a historical plaque put on it? Sneaky city cutting down all these wonderful trees 4 years before that could happen.
ANYWAYS, I'm done ranting. Here are some pictures of the damage.

oh man! I was sad to lose one tree on our front yard. are they replanting anything for you?
tip: if they are not all down yet, count the rings of a big one, who knows?
